Blood flowed like the finest champagne into Elijah's mouth, unlike anything that he had ever tasted before. Every nerve in his body was sensitive as his body overflowed with the finest blood that he had ever tasted in his life. Without a care in the world, nothing mattered.
More bodies had accumulated from the last several days, not that Elijah cared in the slightest. Lounging in a seat, admiring his handy work with another body draped across his lap, another unknown girl. His fangs buried deep in her neck draining every single last drop of her blood.
Hearing the sound of shoes scuffing against the floor caused Elijah to raised his head and remove his fangs from the girl's neck. "Katerina. Please take a seat" he smirked offering her somewhere to sit.

It wasn't often that Katherine admitted that she was wrong. It literally wasn't in her vocabulary. Right now, however, she could admit it. She'd known the darkness that lingered in Elijah's mind better than anyone else, and still she had pushed him to this point. It was stupidity and anger on her part that caused her to act without thinking.
The sound of her heels clicking against the floor no doubt had drawn Elijah's attention, and stepping down the small step into the room Elijah was at, she knew she was correct as he told her to sit. Her brow came up as she looked around the room. Blood was everywhere. She'd seen her fair share of vampire's off the track but this had taken the cake.
"I think I'll stand," she spoke, shifting her weight slightly as she looked at him.

Elijah chuckled and pushed the dead body of the girl on his lap to the floor kicking her hand away from his feet. He stood and straightened himself out un-buttoning his jacket and crossed the small gap between them both to tower above her.
And then shoved several dead bodies off a battered and torn chair that wasn't covered in as much blood as what everything else was. Returning to stand in front of her.

Katherine looked up at him as he towered above her. At his order, she raised a brow at him. Shifting her weight, she crossed her arms over her chest as she locked gazes with him. She should have been afraid, intimidated at least, but she wasn't. She never had been.
"No," she responded, stepping towards him so that they were practically nose to nose. She tilted her head at him, and her jaw was set in defiance. He might not have cared about getting blood all over his clothes but the jeans she currently wore were over a hundred dollars and she wasn't about to get blood on them.

Elijah let a smile slide on his face "Very well" he shrugged and turned from her to return to his own seat. He was less that his usual noble self right now not that he cared.
He slid into his seat as she remained standing "Then please do make yourself at home, you are quite adaptable when it comes to making yourself at home in a place that is not your own" he grinned letting his finger rest on his bottom lip.
Reaching over to a nearby table he scooped up a bottle of open beer and relaxed back into his chair "I would offer but I believe this is the last one. Quite a unique taste, Gia was very fond of it" he mocked her.

Katherine rolled her eyes slightly. She stepped further into the room, closer to him, avoiding random body parts as she went. His words about making herself at home, had her raising a brow at him in annoyance. She didn't comment on it however, but his next sentence had her teeth grinding together.
"Well isn't that mature," she spoke. "Okay, Elijah, you've had your fun. I think it's time for the good Elijah to come back to play because I'm really getting tired of trying to clean up your messes."
She leaned forward some, resting her hands on the armrest of the chair he was sitting on. She felt the wet, sticky feeling of blood under her skin, but ignore it.

Letting his tongue flicker across his lips as Katerina approached leaning over his personal space. "I rather like this new me, no one to disagree" he leaned his head around and heard nothing
"I believe that you are alone in that Katerina" and he pushed himself to his feet and pushed Katerina aside.
Moving through the sea of bodies Elijah found himself stood next to a smaller pile separated from the rest "I would like you to meet someone" and he stopped at one girl, pointing down to her "This is Abby if memory serves right. Her mother born in New York, her grandmother three times down stemmed from Bulgaria. I believe that you would call her a great descendant from a blood line" he paused "Your blood line" he grinned.

Katherine sighed heavily, and straightened. She stumbled slightly as he pushed past her, and she let out an aggravated breath. She turned to face him, and her brows came together in confusion as he spoke. At first she didn't quite get what he was saying until the last bit. Her expression changed from confusion to anger.
"And?" She asked finally. "You didn't honestly expect me to care about one girl who just happened to be related to me by some distant circumstance, did you? Come now, Elijah...even with your brain off in darkness land you know me better than that."

Elijah half expected Katerina not to care about the life of one person, but he knew Katerina far better than that. Nodding he moved to the next one and used his foot to turn another body onto their back "Anabelle, her father born 1967, his family also immigrated from Bulgaria. Her great grandmother, your daughter's second mother" he grinned.
Moving to another body "Callum" he paused "To skip a whole back story which I find rather boring. Also a descendant from your father's illicit encounters with a milk maid" then he moved to another "Little Joshua. Quite the screamer, a descendant on your mother's side" and then he moved to another "Now this one. I found rather interesting" he bent down next to the young girl's corpse.
"This one I enjoyed thoroughly....A true descendant from the Petrova blood line" he grinned "From your daughter Nadia. She has the Petrova eyes.....and the screams" he mocked and pushed himself to his feet and let his finger point to various other bodies in the pile "I believe a pattern is emerging here"

With each revelation, Katherine's gut twisted further. Realization dawned on her, and she turned slightly to let her gaze sweep across the bodies. They were all related to her. In some way or fashion, each one of them could be traced back to her if you knew how to look, and Elijah did. He knew everything about her.
"What did you do?" She asked after a moment, her voice barely above a whisper. She whirled to face him, closing the distance between them in a few short strides. "What did you do?!" She hissed at him. Now that she knew, she couldn't bring herself to look at any of them. She felt sick to her stomach.

Elijah had heard the change in her heart beat, her immediate change of her breathing which was a joy to hear, to know that he had made his point crystal clear. With her closing the gap and standing as close to him as she could get, he dipped his head low.
"Their blood may be on my hands Katerina. Each and every single one of them. But what I am? What I have become, is all down to you" he whispered softly in her ear that led into chuckle "But....." he trailed of.
Walking around her to the opposite side of the room to a cupboard, opened it and pulled out a girl that was barely alive.
"This one....A descendant of your daughter" spinning the girl around, he began stroking her face "Beautiful"

Katherine turned her head away slightly as he whispered into her ear. Her teeth ground together until her jaw hurt, and she could taste her blood in her mouth as her gums began to bleed. He was right. She'd realized her mistake almost as soon as she had done it, the ferosity in which he attacked her had made her realize she'd messed up. This? This was worse.
She watched him as he walked around her. Her eyes were dark with anger. As he pulled the girl, her breath caught in her throat. She turned to face him, licking her lips as she started towards him. Holding her hands out slightly, she spoke.
"Elijah...let her go." She watched for a moment, and swallowed. "You're going to regret this...all of this. You're going to hate yourself...do one thing you won't regret. Let her go...please."

'Please....please don't let him kill me' the girl cried.
Holding the girl up by his hand feeling the dead weight try to fight against him. He let his gaze soften at Katerina's words and steadying the girl "She is free" he told Katerina letting go off the girl who was barely able to stand up.
Watching Katerina move quickly to help the young girl, Elijah's expression changed quickly. His hand punched through the girls back and out of her front holding her heart in his hand. Blood splattered all over Katerina which only caused him to grin.
Dropping the heart and pulling his hand back through the body letting it fall to the ground "The definition of regret is to feel something Katerina in which I do not"

Katherine didn't even pause to think about how it had been too easy. It had been too easy to get him to agree, and she should have known. She'd barely caught the girl before she felt the blood spray of blood against her. She closed her eyes, flinching as blood splattered her face. She heard the soft thump against the ground as the heart fell against the floor, and she sank to her knees carrying the girls body with her as she did.
"You might not feel anything now," she whispered softly. "But you will...and when you do...you will destroy yourself. And I will enjoy watching it happen." She finished in a vicious hiss. She was more angry at herself, however. This had been her fault. She glanced around briefly, and looked back at him.

Elijah watched Katerina with the dead girl cradled in her lap and he felt nothing, no remorse, not a single thing. He shrugged at her comment "The point Katerina" he paused "You" he answered simply.
Walking around her he began heading towards the door to leave as he was getting bored of being here, he turned once again Katerina.
"The only being that shall be destroyed is you. A product if your own doing, a monster you have unleashed" he grinned "Until we meet again...Katherine" he called out over his shoulder as he left the room.
