The pain...The guilt was all gone...
In the briefest of moments when he had allowed himself to let go. All that pain had disappeared. He had felt it the moment that he had allowed himself to embrace it.
In the briefest of moments when he had allowed himself to let go. All that pain had disappeared. He had felt it the moment that he had allowed himself to embrace it.
His humanity was gone and Stefan Salvatore felt a new side of rise to the surface to claim him and only this time he did not try to fight it off.
Those last three words that he had spoken to Elena before he had flipped the switch seemed like nothing more than a security blanket that he used to wrap around himself to make him believe that he was doing the right thing. To save his niece he had to had to return to the very beast he never wanted to be again. But cornered he had no choice and now part of him was relieved to experience this side of him again.
Was all that he could hear in the back of his mind. But was there a chance for him to go back? Stefan didn't particularly care as of right now. For so long he had kept this beast inside of him and now the cage was unlocked and now it was free. Having left Caroline back at the Skull Bar, Stefan felt that he needed this moment alone to fully embrace what had happened to him.
The streets of Mystic Falls were so quiet which even Stefan found eerie, but still that did not stop him from doing what he wanted or needed to do. Walking along the side walk Stefan came to an abrupt halt as he heard a heart beat in the distance approaching. A young girl. Blending into the shadows as he became part of what he always was.
He could hear the girl approaching fast, his tongue flickered across his lips moistening them ready for his attack. Closing his eyes he could tell how tall she was, what the last thing was that she had eaten and how much alcohol was in her bloodstream. But Stefan couldn't care less at this moment. Stepping out of the shadows to block the girl's entrance, he kept his head low.
Stefan did not answer.
"You okay? You need some help?" she asked looking concerned.
Stefan rose his head and allowed the black veins to pulse underneath his eyes, his fangs to elongate and dip below his upper lip.
Bring me back
Turning on her heels she screamed and ran in the opposite direction from him. Stefan always loved the chase.
There was no going back
Bring me back

"Hey...You know it's kind of creepy. Hanging around on street corners" the girl chuckled tucking a lock of hair behind her ear.
Stefan did not answer.
