Kol's death weighted heavily on her mind, the first time she had lost him had been hard but she had known it was his own doing for going off on his own after the hunter. This time Kol had tried to start a new, he was helping the family and he had found Davina who despite everything in her life had opened up to him. Kol had done from the Original vampire who took his anger out on others to a witch who despite his want to create a dagger for Nik, was living his life and releasing his past.

Given that she and Kol had broken Finn's connection to their parent's power Rebekah knew that if she were going to face him she needed to do it now before he found a new power source. All her life she had defended Kol and Finn from Nik knowing that their brother's temper would be their undoing but through it all she had never been afraid of Nik killing them even though he knew how. The worst he would ever do was dagger them for centuries.

Finn had gone too far and taken too much and never had such pain filled her heart. She had lost loves before but losing family was a rarity for the Original family.

Finding Finn hadn't been hard since like the weasel he was he maintained a burrow at the same place their mother had. Hiding behind one of the tombs she had waited for Freya to leave knowing exactly what her elder sister was capable of. With a pendent to focus her power she was potentially stronger than Finn and with anger fueling her she didn't believe there was anything she couldn't do.

Treading lightly she headed for the opening of the tomb and looked in as she heard Finn chanting and felt the magic in the air. She may be new to being a witch but she wasn't new to revenge and vengeance.

Hearing his words and seeing that sadistic smile on his face set her off. He didn't even care what he had done, his message was clear and simple none of them matter and he would go through them to meet his end goal. "It's I who will have the pleasure dead brother." Chanting she threw her hand out sending her elder brother head first into the stone of the tomb.

"Immortality came with rules as does mortality. As family we may not always like each other but we never kill. Always and forever will never apply to you because you stop being my brother the moment you cursed Kol to die!" A snarl curled her lip up as she felt the magic sizzling in the air. "You cursed him to die alone and to lead a lonely life up to that point. Was that something you saw for yours? Because whereas none have love for you Kol died with the one thing he wanted most...family, which is something you will never have again."

Finn seemed to think himself witty and sly like the fox which their brother had been. It there was one thing she knew best it was how to read her brothers and Finn was trying to fit into a role which wasn’t his. Maybe he was still raw over being daggered a forever amount of times or maybe he was still upset over Sage. The fact remained that he was given a second chance at life and he had followed their mother blindly and yet called her blind. “I’m not the one who held our mother of a pedestal. I know what all of you are, your flaws, your weaknesses and I’ve love all of you despite it all but this I cannot forgive.”

She watched as he collapsed to his knees and stayed there for a moment as if trying to get his head back on right. It was rare she had ever lifted a hand against any of her brothers but never had one died at the hands of another. “No Finn, family is no longer what I call you. Family doesn’t leave one another behind and no matter the amount of times you were daggered you were never left for dead. We loved you and trusted you!” Their family was dysfunctional at best and broken at worst but never had they faced something like this.

With a simple flick of his wrist Finn sent her across the room and her back hit the wall hard. As a vampire it would be something easily shaken off but as a human it bloody well hurt. “Our brother was more human than you will ever be. Mortality agreed with him but you, you’ve become worse than Kol ever was. Kol didn’t satisfy his own needs in death, he died for something you will never understand!”

Watching her elder brother move towards her she didn’t move, if he wanted to kill her then he could very well try but she knew he enjoyed the sound of his own voice too much to stop talking now. “We all did things we weren’t proud of as vampires. We allowed blood lust and our emotions to rule us and you hold that against us. You always hated that Elijah was called the Noble when you yourself believe you were the Noble one of the family. Nik may have daggered me and stole centuries of my life by you stole any future Kol might have and I believe it would have been brighter than even you could imagine.”

Listening to his words something inside of her snapped. “We may be damaged but we are never broken. You see your own flaws in us for it’s you who’s broken. Mother turned into the one thing she swore to never become and you lost faith. I’ve always had someone to believe in Finn you just put your faith in the wrong person.” She screamed as pain ripped through her body as her brother used magic against her. She might be new to being human and a witch but she wouldn’t allow Finn to win not now.

Fighting through the pain she focused on the look on Kol’s face as she held his hand as he slipped away. She had felt him die in her arms and that was a memory she wasn’t soon to forget. “You’re the disease.” She said through clenched teeth as she pushed herself up from the tomb floor. As a vampire pain had been nothing because she knew it would end but as a human it seemed to have a lingering affect but right now her adrenaline and emotions drove her.

“You first Finn.” Focusing she threw both of her hands out and sent him flying across the tomb as blood trickled from her nose at the effort it took.

Despite everything her brothers had done to her and each other she had never hated one of the before. The closest she’d ever come to hating one of them had been Nik when he had daggered her and turned Marcel. Now she knew the two of them deserved one another because power was what drove them both. Kol’s death hit her harder than even Marcel’s betrayal. Kol was the youngest and tended to act out and the rest of them forgave him for it.

“You talk of evil as if you’ve escaped it but you’re no better than the rest. You don’t want to kill us because we’re evil you can to kill us because Nik showed you the woman our mother truly is.” For so long Finn had wanted nothing but their mother’s love and affection. Anyone he had seen as a threat to the time he had with their mother he had tried to get rid of.

An inhuman growl left her as Finn spoke of who he would kill next wanting to leave her favorite brother for last. The Noble Elijah or the hybrid they were the only two left of what had once been a great family. Kol had been the closest to her in age and though Nik and Elijah had been a little older she and Kol had been inseparable for a long time in childhood. “Well Finn you know you were always my least favorite so maybe you should off yourself first.” She tried to hold back her tears at the thought of Kol dead followed by images of Nik and Elijah. No that wouldn’t happen.

There was a small opening as he went on the attack but she got there first. Kol had told her as a witch emotion was power and he hadn’t been joking as Finn flew head over tail across the tomb. Finn may have more knowledge on magic but she had never been one to piss off. Her head was pounding and she knew exhaustion would soon take over since she wasn’t used to using this much magic or putting this much effort in anything. Falling to her knees he needed to get out of her, for the first time she’d pulled a Kol and allowed her anger to guide her and bitten off more than she could chew.

“Our mother only loved and cared for us as long as it suited her needs. She wished for our deaths and our brother may be a beast but even he has morals and more heart than you.” Even knowing that Nik wasn’t her full brother had never lessened how much she cared for him because he was her family and had always looked out for her. “Family is power Finn and all you have is a psychotic witch who’d probably using you. I would pity you but you no longer deserve it.”

Finn spoke of innocence and she knew her brothers were anything but innocent but she was less than innocent herself. Finn wasn’t an innocent either and yet he was playing the victim and like they had wronged him when he had placed himself in that situation.

Hearing her brother chanting her eyes grew wide for a moment before something hit her. It wasn’t a blast like he had sent before but she fell to the ground her eyes closing as voices began to take over in her head. There was so much pain and so much screaming, so many voices deafening her men, women, and children alike. Screaming she writhed on the ground not able to take it. There was a burning in her throat as if it were being ripped open time and time again. Claws shredding her skin and fangs ripping and draining. Curled in the fetal position her hands were over her ears as tears streamed down her face but nothing would lessen the screams that seemed to echo through her soul.
